J.D. WALTERS was born and raised in Long Beach, California –– Afterward, he resided in Los Angeles while attending and eventually graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Sociology. His post-academic adventures led him to Milan, New York, and Miami, where he immersed himself in the sounds and styles that inspire his current work.

J.D. WALTERS is a Southern California-based DJ who specializes in dance and electronic music sets encompassing various genres of music. His electrifying performances ignite audiences and set dance floors ablaze, captivating a wide range of venues –– From underground warehouses to electronic music festivals, from techno lofts to dance clubs, including luxury rooftop and pool parties, J.D.’s music electrifies any setting.

Drawing inspiration from nightclubs, music festivals, and high-fashion runway shows, J.D. WALTERS crafts his unique soundscapes. He embraces the pulsating rhythms of techno, tech-house, house, electronic, disco, and indie dance music, as well as the eclectic beats and sounds showcased at dance music events.

J.D. WALTERS embarked on his DJ career early, securing an official DJ residency at Los Globos in Hollywood, CA. There, he had the rare and spectacular opportunity to share the stage with his mentor, DJ Contessa (U.V.), and guest DJs from around the globe. Together, they hosted a weekly Sunday night event “D-Tox” in the Red Room, delivering a deep, dark, melodic, and progressive “techno escape.” J.D. continued his journey with another weekly DJ residency at the downtown Los Angeles nightclub iNDULGE, where he seamlessly mixed heavy grooves, infusing deep melodic techno with classic house, techno, and progressive dance remixes, keeping the atmosphere fresh and vibrant.

J.D. WALTERS’ DJ sets have evolved in unique directions, continually satisfying changing audiences with an enticing blend of techno, techhouse, melodic techno, classic house, progressive house, and pop/rock/R&B dance remixes. Each of his sets is a distinct journey, NEVER repeating a live DJ mix. J.D. consistently creates an extraordinary energy exchange and engages the audience with his genre-bending performances.

Influenced by renowned artists such as SOLOMUN, MAGDALENA, MACEO PLEX, GREEN VELVET, and his current DJ instructor, NICOLE MOUDABER, J.D. WALTERS is constantly driven to push the boundaries of his DJ sets, seeking inspiration from masters of the craft.
